WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in D.C. are investigating after a man was shot in Southeast on Monday.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said around 9:30 a.m., officers were on the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of Valley Ave. This is just blocks away from the Frank W. Ballou High School and two other schools in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said he was conscious and breathing.
The victim’s condition is unknown as of Monday morning.
As the investigation continued, MPD said officers recovered two guns.
