A crash Monday night in Encino involving officers with the Los Angeles Police Department sent a mother and her 6-year-old daughter to the hospital.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 5600 block of Lindley Avenue.
Details are limited and it’s unclear what exactly caused the crash or if the officers in the patrol vehicle had their lights and sirens activated, but footage from the site showed a mother and her young daughter in a wheelchair as medical personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department ushered them to a waiting ambulance.
The pair was taken to the hospital and treated for unknown injuries.
In footage of the crash aftermath, the woman’s vehicle, a dark colored station wagon came to a stop with the front of the vehicle entirely on the sidewalk with the police cruiser on the street, in contact with the station wagon’s passenger side.
Both vehicles appeared to have sustained minor damage.
At least one of the officers was seen having what appeared to be his left hand examined by a paramedic at the scene, though no information was provided on any injuries to the officers.
Lindley Avenue between Burbank Boulevard and Hatteras Avenue was closed while investigators with LAPD’s West Valley Division investigated and cleared the scene.
