THIS is the moment a teenager is arrested after “stabbing a devoted mum-of-two on her doorstep”.
Footage revealed blue lights illuminating the area as a heavy police presence swarmed a residential street in the Muswell Hill neighbourhood of north London.
Shocked locals could be seen stood outside their homes as police sirens continued to sound around the area.
Two plain clothed officers were filmed standing with a teenage boy, who was wearing grey joggers, black trainers, as well as a navy and black North Face jacket.
The youngster was then led into the back of a police van where he could be heard asking for some water.
An Advanced Trauma Team vehicle was also filmed on the street, behind an ambulance.
It comes as cops confirmed a woman in her 40s was knifed at around 8pm last night in the Muswell Hill neighbourhood.
The woman, who has been named locally as Ellie Lyon, works as head of community ministries at nearby St James Church.
The mum, described by colleagues as a “lovely lady”, is recovering after sustaining two wounds in the attack outside her home.
One church youth worker, 23, told The Sun: “I’ve worked with Ellie for a couple of years now. She is the loveliest lady, she’s amazing.
“She would help anyone. She started a youth centre project. There are 30-40 youngsters looked after there.
“She’s always smiling, always helping the community. She set up a club on a Fridays for the children.”
Another colleague added: “Ellie is devoted to her work and to her family. It’s horrendous.”
Local man Chester O’Field, 61, said: “Ellie is one of the nicest people. We are praying that she’s ok after what happened.”
Another resident, who witnessed the aftermath, said: “I heard shouting and before I knew it the road was swimming with police cars.
“She had been stabbed by a teenager, he had a baby face. Police got hold of him, cuffed him and took him away.”
Cops and paramedics found Ellie with stab injuries, which are not life-threatening.
A teen male, 17, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The teenager was taken into custody where he remains while detectives probe the stabbing.
Muswell Hill is home to the Alexandra Palace darts venue and was named one of the most desirable places to live in London in 2020.
Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 8.04pm on Wednesday to reports of an assault on St James Lane, Muswell Hill.
“Officers attended and found a woman, aged in her 40s, with stab injuries. Her injuries are not life threatening.
“A male in his teens was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was taken into custody where he remains.”
