A MIGRANT accused of sexual assault has swerved justice by fleeing the UK.
Prosecutors have dropped charges against Adnan Ahmed, after admitting to magistrates the 37-year-old had left the country.
A CPS spokeswoman said: “It was determined the case could no longer continue.”
Ahmed was first due before Poole magistrates in December accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a B&B in Portland, Dorset, last August.
At the time of the alleged assault he was living on the Bibby Stockholm barge used to house asylum seekers.
When he failed to turn up, a warrant was issued.
Rob Bates, of the Centre for Migration Control, said: “Ahmed should never have been released back into the community after his arrest.”
At least four other ex-Bibby Stockholm occupants appeared in court since migrants were housed there in 2023.
More than 300 were moved last year after the Government axed the scheme.
