No Mega Millions jackpot-winning ticket was sold ahead of Friday’s drawing, meaning that the prize is close to reaching record levels.
The new jackpot was set at $740 million, with the next drawing coming on Tuesday, according to the California Lottery.
On Friday’s drawing, the winning numbers were 36, 43, 52, 58 and 65 with a Mega number of 16. To win the jackpot, a ticket must display all six of those numbers.
There is one lucky player in Southern California that isn’t complaining on Saturday, however. Just one ticket was sold with the five numbers, lacking only the Mega number.
That ticket came from OK Liquor, located at 301 East South Street in Long Beach. The owner of that ticket won $359,992.
The next Mega Millions drawing is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m.
