McDonald’s may be one step closer to reintroducing its discontinued Snack Wraps, teasing a cryptic return date on social media Tuesday.
On X, the company posted “snack wraps 0x.14.2025,” revealing the date the item will return but not the month.
Snack Wraps, a hand-held item consisting of chicken, shredded lettuce, and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla, initially debuted in 2006 and discontinued in 2016.
The item was discontinued since many employees complained that the food item was too complicated to make and didn’t perform as well as McDonald’s had hoped, Business Insider reported.
Since its removal from menus, fans have petitioned for its return.
In the years since, other fast-food restaurants, like Burger King and Wendy’s, have released their own versions of snack wraps.
In December 2023, the company announced that a new iteration would be available in restaurants by the end of 2025.
