MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett has hit back at ‘careless’ pet owners who have left dog faeces outside his multi-million dollar Byron Bay mansion.
Shannon lives in a sprawling $2million six-bedroom mansion which enjoys direct access to picturesque Belongil Beach, but it has been targeted by the disgusting act.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the celebrity chef took aim at careless pet owners, specifically people hitting the beach with their dogs to do yoga.
He claimed people haven’t been picking up after their pets and have instead been leaving bags of dog poo on the pavement outside his property.
Shannon shared an array of photographs of bags of dog poo which had seemingly been left littered near his home and on the beach.
‘New to town? Beginner at Yoga?,’ he raged in one post.
‘Start by bending over and picking up your dog s**t aka the downward dog position.’
He went on to instruct pet owners to use the facilities provided to dispose of the offending items rather than leaving them outside his property.
‘And then put it in any of the 10 bins provided and not on my steps,’ the post continued.

Alongside his raging post, he also shared a photograph showing a trio of dogs walking along the shoreline at dusk without leashes.
Shannon, who is in a relationship with Erica Packer, pulled no punches captioning the angry post, telling the offenders in no uncertain terms to do the right thing.
Stop being w****rs and pick up the dog bags,’ he wrote.
‘Throwing the bag on the sand or the rocks then drawing a circle with your toe in the sand around the bag is really weird s**t.’
It appeared that Shannon’s post struck a chord with his followers with many quick to issue their agreement with Shannon on the issue.
‘Well said,’ one follower offered. ‘It’s really disappointing seeing how many people leave their dog poo bags on the beach. Especially when the tide is coming in.’

Another offered a rather direct solution as they penned: ‘If you did see someone drop a poo bag, I think you would be well within your rights to pick it up and throw it at them in the hope it explodes on impact.’
One dog owner also was quick to back Shannon’s stance.
‘l totally agree with you,’ they wrote. ‘I couldn’t believe the amount of doggy pooh bags along the shore line, and yes l own a dog and am responsible for her mess.’
Belongil Beach does have dog friendly sections, however it is unclear if it is the section that runs past Shannon’s property.
Shannon’s home is a modern, architecturally designed oceanfront compound that enjoys direct access to picturesque Belongil Beach.
According to Urban, Shannon bought the land – a five lot 4,588 square metre block – from entertainment industry entrepreneur John Cornell in 2020 for $2million.
The neighbouring property is currently on the market for a reported $40million.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Shannon Bennett for comment.
Shannon, who shares children Phoenix, Hendrix, Xascha, Xanthe, Xahlia and Margaux with ex partner Madeleine West, debuted his new relationship with Erica over the Christmas holidays.
Shannon opened up about his new romance with Erica, who is businessman James Packer’s ex-wife, to the Herald Sun back in March.
‘Erica is great,’ Shannon told the publication.
‘She’s really good, going back and forwards a lot. It’s a fun and amazing adventure, it’s amazing we haven’t met earlier.’
‘We’re loving life. I’m a very lucky man,’ he added.
