Celebrities continue to speak out about the federal immigration policies.

On Saturday, actor and host Mario Lopez shared a snippet on Instagram of a 1987 “Golden Girls” episode he guest-starred in called “Dorothy’s Prized Pupil.”

‘I don’t know him’: Mariah Carey trolls popular YouTuber

“The episode was about friendship and inclusion, while also touching on the serious issue of deportation,” the “Saved by the Bell” alum wrote. “I’m first generation American, my parents immigrated from Mexico. I’ll forever be grateful for their sacrifice… I stand by the beautiful and rich, diverse community of immigrants from all over the world that leave everything behind to work tirelessly to make sure their families keep dreaming big.”

In the episode, Dorothy, played by actress Bea Arthur, takes a young student, played by Lopez, under her wing to help him write an essay for a contest.

Lopez’s character wins the contest, but is later detained by immigration officials as his character is in the country illegally.

“Immigrants are what makes America beautiful… It always has,” Lopez continued. “That’s not up for debate. Please choose kindness, compassion & humanity. We must be open to listening to everyone’s story and journey. God bless.”

“Saved by the Bell” costar Tiffani Thiessen, actresses Melissa Joan Hart and Chrishelle Stausse all left heart emojis in the post’s comment section.

“Love you, baby,” wrote Lopez’s wife, Courtney.

Since June 6, massive raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have taken place in Los Angeles and other cities in California, ordered by the Trump administration. The move sparked protests up and down the Golden State. Tensions heightened when President Donald Trump deployed the National Guard to the region, against the wishes of Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass.
