Firefighters called to a blaze in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles discovered a marijuana grow operation inside a 10,000-square-foot building Monday morning.
The incident was reported just before 4 a.m. in the 3900 block of Broadway Place, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Lantz said.

“Firefighters made access to the building, identified as a grow operation, and identified light smoke inside,” Lantz said.
Video from the scene showed multiple marijuana plants inside the structure as crews doused the fire.
A motorhome parked outside the structure also caught fire at one point during the incident.
It was unclear if the marijuana plants were part of a legal or illegal grow operation.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
