WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in the District are investigating a shooting that happened in Southwest D.C. on Thursday night.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the report of a shooting in the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE shortly before 9 p.m.
There, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
MPD said they were looking for a suspect described as a man wearing a white shirt, black pants, black and white shoes and a jacket. He was last seen headed toward a 7-Eleven in the area.
