WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police said a man was taken to the hospital after he was shot near the Department of Employment Services in Northeast Wednesday morning.

There, first responders found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said he was conscious and breathing and medics took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The severity of his injuries is currently unknown.
