A MAN has been stabbed in a seaside town McDonald’s with a huge emergency response racing to the scene just yards from the beach.
Lancashire Police said they were called reports of an assault at McDonald’s on the Promenade, Blackpool, yesterday.
When emergency crews got to the fast food restaurant they discovered a man suffering from a stab wound to the leg.
He was rushed to hospital to receive treatment for the knife injury.
An inquiry was immediately launched and cops arrested a man shortly later in connection with the incident.
Officers said a 38-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of Section 18 wounding.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
A force spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.24pm yesterday (1st December) to McDonalds, Promenade, Blackpool, to a report of assault.
“Our officers attended and found that a man in his 30s had suffered a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and is currently in custody.”
