A suspect remains at large after a man was found stabbed to death in Canoga Park Thursday.
Los Angeles police responded to a battery incident on the 8500 block of International Avenue at 9:19 p.m.
Arriving officers found a man lying on the sidewalk with a “sharp force wound.” He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect approached the victim on the sidewalk before a confrontation ensued.
As the altercation escalated, the suspect fatally stabbed the victim and fled the scene on foot, LAPD said.
The victim’s identity was not released as police continue searching for the suspect.
