A suspect remains at large after a man was found shot to death in Long Beach.
On March 17, Long Beach police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon on the 5400 block of Atlantic Avenue at around 3:49 a.m.
Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound on his upper body. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
No suspects were found at the scene and the motive behind the fatal shooting remains unclear.
“Detectives are working to determine the identity of any suspect(s) involved,” police said.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office.
