Authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was found shot to death at a park in Compton.
On March 31, deputies from the Compton Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of gunshots heard at Roy Campanella Park on the 14000 block of Stanford Avenue at around 6:10 p.m.
Arriving deputies found the victim, identified only as an adult male, suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No suspect was found in the area. The victim’s identity was not released.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information on the incident to call the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
