A man died Wednesday afternoon after he was pulled from Lake Michigan near Adler Planetarium, according to Chicago police.
The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately available, jumped into the lake with a second man in the 1300 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 1:30 p.m., police said. Both men were rescued shortly afterward.
The second man was alert after being rescued, while the victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died, police said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
