A 38-year-old man died Wednesday morning in a single-alarm fire in an Arbutus apartment, the Baltimore County Fire Department said in a news release.
Firefighters responded to the 4400 block of Alan Drive at 4:19 a.m. A resident, identified by fire officials as Urian Bridges, told 911 operators that he could not get out of the apartment. When units arrived fire was showing from the second-floor apartment. Firefighters entered the home and found Bridges deceased in a hallway, according to the department.
Investigators believe the fire was an accident started from unattended cooking.
