A man remains in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Orange County.
On June 27, Orange County sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash near La Cresta Drive and Silver Lantern Street in Dana Point shortly before 10 p.m.
Deputies found a victim, identified only as a man in his 40s, injured at the scene. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle described as a silver or beige sedan with damage to the rear passenger side.
Grainy footage from the nearest surveillance camera was unable to capture clear details of the vehicle as it drove away.
Investigators said there was another occupied vehicle spotted near the crash scene and it’s believed the occupant(s) may have additional information.
