ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Arlington police said a man was arrested at the Pentagon after he was caught stealing from a store in Pentagon City.
The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) said just before 2 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of S Joyce Street near where the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is located for reports of a larceny.
A man was seen going into a store, taking things and leaving without paying.
A lookout for him was broadcasted and officers from the Pentagon Force Protection Agency saw him walking around on Pentagon grounds.
The man was arrested and transferred to ACPD custody.
He was identified as Mark Conner, 40.
Conner was charged with shoplifting and is being held without bond.
