A 50-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with arson after allegedly being connected to three house fires in Ashby on Friday morning.
The man has been charged with dangerous driving and three counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

The alleged arsonist has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
His charges relate to three fires, which have been linked, and took place in Holywell Avenue, Prestop Drive and Clifton Drive.
Three people – two teenagers and a woman – were rushed to hospital for treatment following the blazes.
One teenager was treated for burn injuries while all three were treated for smoke inhalation – their injuries have not been described as life changing or life threatening.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were first called to the fire on Holywell Avenue at 7:05am, shortly followed by further call outs at 7:08am and 7:19am.
Detective Inspector Jim Willoughby said: “We believe these incidents to be linked and deliberately caused by the same person.”
