A 29-YEAR-old man has died after falling from a balcony at a popular holiday park.
Bartosz Urbaniak, 29, suffered trauma to the brain after he lost his footing at the Big Weekender event at the Skegness Butlins.
Witnesses claim the dad-of-one attempted to climb from one balcony to another before plunging to his death.
It’s understood he had been drinking at the time.
A trainee nurse who was also at the event rushed to give him CPR until the air ambulance arrived.
He was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but despite medics’ best efforts, tragically died two days later.
The incident took place at around 12:15pm on September 28.
His girlfriend later paid an emotional tribute to Bartosz, who she described as having “the biggest heart and soul”.
She said: “Saying goodbye to you for the very last time was something I never imagined I’d have to do.
“You had the biggest heart and a soul far too kind for this world. Please watch over Layton, he’s your mirror, your legacy, and he carries your light in everything he does.
“Until we meet again, know that you’ll always be loved, missed, and remembered.
“Life will never be the same without you, but we’ll keep your memory alive and make you proud.
“Fly high, my love.”
An inquest into his death was opened last month, which gave the cause of death as a traumatic brain injury.
This was said to have resulted from a fall from a third floor balcony.
