A routine traffic stop in the Antelope Valley led to a felony arrest after officers found a massive stash of illegal items over the weekend.
Police made the surprising discovery on Saturday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department station posted on Facebook Monday morning.
“During their investigation, they recovered a firearm, two thousand dollars in cash, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, oxycodone, Xanax, and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD),” the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station stated in the post.
An image shared by the Sheriff’s Station showed the evidence, including two large bags full of drugs, several pills, a pile of cash and a handgun.
It was unclear what initially prompted officers to pull the vehicle over.
The suspect was not identified, but a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed that a felony arrest was made.
“Thank you to our deputies for keeping our community safe and remaining proactive,” the post read.
