Love is Blind enchanted its way to the top of the Nielsen streaming charts from October 7 to 13, but Outer Banks came in closely behind, with both titles racking up about 1.2B minutes viewed.
For Love is Blind, that was a 16% increase over the viewership from the week prior, when Season 7 debuted — probably because three new episodes were made available during this interval. Overall, Nielsen says 94% of Love is Blind viewing this week came from the new season.
As for Outer Banks, the title returned with the first half of Season 4, on October 10, meaning those five new episodes drove quite a huge surge in viewing for the series in just a few days. It’s safe to say the series will remain on the Nielsen charts for several weeks as audiences continue to engage with the show and more episodes launch.
According to Nielsen, 17% of Outer Banks viewers were in the 12-17 age range, far more than the rest of the week’s charting titles.
Meanwhile, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is still going strong, even though it fell below the 1B-minute mark for the first time since its release week. It managed 953M minutes viewed, which was still good enough for No. 3 overall.
On the originals side, Only Murders in the Building came in at No. 6 with 429M minutes viewed, while Agatha All Along got 310M minutes viewed, making its way back onto the charts after missing the cutoff last week.
There was a bit of an early Halloween surprise on the lists too, as Hocus Pocus broke into the rankings at No. 8 on the move list with 208M minutes viewed on Disney+. Nielsen says 29% of viewers were 2-11 while 46% were 18-49.
