Officials are asking the public for help finding “Louise” the Chihuahua after someone broke into an animal shelter in San Bernardino earlier this week.
“At approximately 3:30 AM today (Wednesday), our shelter was broken into, and bolt cutters were used to release many of our dogs,” sbcitypets posted on Instagram along with surveillance video of the break-in.
San Bernardino police were able to track down the suspect, who is now in custody, and most of the dogs were found, including four abandoned in a dumpster, according to the post.
Those dogs “are now safe and receiving medical care from our partner veterinarian.”
However, one very cute cream-colored and microchipped Chihuahua is still missing.

“We need the community’s help to bring her back!” officials said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of “Louise” was asked to call San Bernardino City Pets at 909-998-4000.
