LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Loudoun United suffered a 1-0 loss to Phoenix Rising FC Saturday night over at Segra Field in Leesburg, Virginia. Even with the loss, the club is still holding on to the eighth and final playoff spot in the eastern conference.
However, Loudoun United did fall three sports in the United Soccer League power rankings this week. Loudoun United was 7th entering the weekend, but are now sitting at 10th in the power rankings after their loss to Phoenix.
Loudoun will look to get back into the win column Friday when they travel to Kentucky to take on Louisville City FC, who is currently the best team in the league with 18 wins and 56 points.
