Lizzo revealed Thursday in a video that she has ditched veganism in favor of an omnivorous protein-rich diet.
The 36-year-old rapper and singer cleared up her new approach to eating for fans in a clip in which she displayed everything she eats in a given day now that she has added back animal proteins into her diet.
She gave the glimpse into a day in her life after flaunting her impressive weight loss and slimmed-down figure in recent weeks.
Lizzo may have also wanted to clear up what she has been eating lately after she previously blasted rumors that she has been taking Ozempic-like weight-loss drugs to help achieve her more svelte look.
She opened her video in a brown dress that accentuated her curves as she held a lettuce wrap that a contained some meat and tomatoes out toward the camera.

Lizzo began with a glass of simple lemon water, followed by a plate of mixed fruit (grapes and pineapple), ham-lined egg white cups and a hash brown made of cauliflower.
The Truth Hurts singer just took a bite of each for the camera before placing the food back on her plate.
Next up was a glass of surprisingly viscous ‘okra water,’ which she sipped on while getting her hair done.
Lizzo demonstrated just how thick the concoction was by dipping her straw into the glass and then pulling it out to watch a syrupy-strand dangle from it.
For lunch, she dug in to a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap with ‘lots of mustard, and she cooled with with a jug of peach iced tea that she poured into a giant hot pink Stanley tumbler.
Lizzo donned some shades and changed into a yellow graphic T-shirt for her next meal, which she ate on an outdoor patio.
She dined from a plastic container with a grilled chicken breast garnished with carrots and asparagus.
Lizzo made up for the audio-free video by adding her own narration in which she explained her decision to give up her vegan diet in favor of an omnivorous diet.
‘My reintroduction to protein came from Japan,’ she shared, explaining that a trip to the Asian nation left her feeling fantastic after dining on fresh sushi and ‘fluffy’ eggs.
‘I was amazed at how good my body felt the next day,’ she admitted.
Since adding back animal proteins into her diet, Lizzo thought it was helping her to have ‘more energy, lose weight’ and to deal with ‘mental fog’ that she suffered from.

Despite leaving veganism behind, she said she still thought it was the healthiest option, and she said she aspired to one day be a ‘raw, alkaline vegan.’
However, there’s little scientific support for the purported health benefits of an alkaline diet — though it’s focus on avoiding processed foods can be beneficial — and many vegetables can be better digested after being cooked.
Lizzo concluded the video by declaring that she wouldn’t judge anyone else for their diet, whether they were raw vegans or carnivores.
Some of her fans in the comments didn’t appreciate her rejection of veganism, even if it was only a personal choice and not a total rejection of the philosophy.
One angry person took issue with calling herself a person ‘who added protein to her diet,’ calling the phrase ‘so incorrect honestly.’
‘You already have protein in your vegan diet, honey. You just added dead animals to your diet, that’s the correct word. Xoxo,’ they wrote.
‘Veganism is not a diet,’ wrote another person, apparently meaning that it was more than just a weight-loss strategy.
Others wondered how she could get past the ‘cruelty’ they felt was inherent in the production of animal-based foods.

In recent weeks she has slammed rumors that she has been taking an Ozempic-like drug to help her lose weight. Instead, she attributed the weight loss to a healthier diet and exercise, along with more mindful eating (right, in 2022)
One person even accused Lizzo of ‘never’ being a vegan, seemingly accusing her of not following the plant-based diet faithfully.
Lizzo’s focus on her diet comes after weeks of highlighting her weight loss on social media.
The body-positive performer stripped down to her underwear to reveal her progress so far, but she took offense at the suggestion that her weight loss was anything other than the product of a healthier diet, more mindful eating and regular exercise.
Last month, she complained on Instagram about ‘finally get[ting] ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.’
