Lara Trump is giving up her Senate dreams.
Trump, who formerly co-chaired the Republican National Committee, she was dropping out of contention to replace Marco Rubio in a Saturday post on X. Rubio was tapped by Donald Trump to be his secretary of state back in November.
“After an incredible amount of thought, contemplation, and encouragement from so many, I have decided to remove my name from consideration for the United States Senate,” the president-elect’s daughter-in-law, married to Eric Trump, shared with her followers.
