Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić has topped the NBA’s list of most popular jerseys for the 2024-25 regular season, marking the first time an international player has claimed the No. 1 spot.

Dončić’s jersey is also the first to top the NBA sales list that didn’t feature the name James or Curry since the 2012-13 season, officials said.

Luka’s new teammate, and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron James wasn’t far behind, though, coming in at No. 3 in jersey sales, just behind Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

Dončić’s arrival in Los Angeles didn’t just propel the team to the top of the league’s merchandise sales list, they were also among the league’s most viewed players on the NBA’s digital and social platforms, and the duo led the the Lakers to the third-seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

Dončić was traded to the Lakers in a shocking three-team deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in what is considered to be one of the most unexpected and league-altering trades in history.

The 25-year-old Slovenian phenom is a five-time All-Star who helped lead Dallas to the NBA Finals just last season. The Lakers went 18-10 with Dončić wearing Purple and Gold.

According to the NBA, jersey sales on NBAStore.com rose 21% after the Feb. 6 trade deadline, largely driven by Dončić’s move from Dallas to Los Angeles.

Boston Celtics stars Jayson Tatum (4) and Jaylen Brown (15), as well as Phoenix Suns All-Stars Kevin Durant (13) and Devin Booker (14) are the only teammates featured in the top 15. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets and presumptive MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, landed at Nos. 10 and 9, respectively.

Below are the top selling NBA jerseys for the 2024-25 season:
