The Los Angeles Rams will soon make NFL history as they become the first team to conduct their draft operations from a fire station. The move is to honor firefighters following the deadly wildfires in January.
In partnership with Zillow, the team will transform part of the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Air Operations facility into its official Draft headquarters from April 24 to 26.
General Manager Les Snead and Head Coach Sean McVay will lead the team’s draft efforts from a converted room within the LAFD facility. An adjacent hangar will host Rams staff, coaches, scouts, and media members throughout the three-day event. LAFD Air Operations will remain fully operational during the draft, according to a news release.
“This is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” Rams president Kevin Demoff said in a statement. “Since the wildfires devastated our region in January, we have looked to bring LA Together to support recovery efforts and shine a light on our first responders. We’re humbled to partner with LAFD during one of the NFL’s biggest moments.”
In addition to hosting the draft, the Rams are teaming up with Zillow to renovate the station’s recreation room and provide new recliners to help firefighters relax between shifts.
Fans can support the Rams’ wildfire relief efforts by purchasing custom LAFD x Rams merchandise — including hats, hoodies and shirts — at www.RamsFanShop.com or The Equipment Room at SoFi Stadium. All proceeds will benefit the LAFD Foundation and American Red Cross.
To date, the Rams have contributed nearly $2 million toward wildfire recovery efforts.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be broadcast live on NFL Network, ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes, including primetime coverage on Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25.
