A Los Angeles County firefighter limped to a nearby station after a collision involving a black sedan that also left a motorist needing a rescue late Sunday night.
The crash was reported shortly after 11 p.m. at South Willowbrook Avenue and East 120th Street.
Arriving officers found one person trapped inside a black sedan with severe front-end damage, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson confirmed.
The unidentified person was rescued from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
The fire truck also had damage to its front end but both crewmembers were able to get out of the vehicle on their own, freelance media firm OnScene.TV reported. One of them was seen limping to the station about a block away.
The firefighters did not report any serious injuries immediately following the collision, the spokesperson said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation but one person from the black sedan was arrested on unknown charges.
