A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being shot in Lancaster Saturday night.
Deputies responded to a robbery on the 1200 block of Meadow Circle shortly after 7 p.m.
Details remain limited, but while confronting the suspect, the deputy was shot in the upper torso. The deputy was rushed to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
The suspect was also shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not released.
Neither the deputy’s nor the suspect’s identity has been released.
