Two of Southern California’s major theme parks — Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain — are marking the Fourth of July holiday with fireworks displays and family-friendly entertainment.

Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park will present its Independence Day fireworks show on Thursday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. In Valencia, Six Flags Magic Mountain will light up the sky on both July 4 and 5, with shows scheduled for 9:15 p.m. each evening.

In addition to the nighttime celebrations, both parks will continue to offer their full slate of seasonal programming during the day.

At Knott’s Berry Farm, “Ghost Town Alive!” returns as an interactive experience that places guests in the center of a living Old West town. Visitors are encouraged to take part in a series of immersive activities and storylines, assuming the role of honorary citizens of the fictional town of Calico. Live performances and themed encounters are included throughout the day.

Meanwhile, Six Flags Magic Mountain is featuring its summer “DC™ Heroes and Villains Fest,” with programming centered around characters from the DC Comics universe. The event blends live entertainment, themed dance parties, and character interactions with access to the park’s extensive lineup of thrill rides.

Guests looking to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance. Through July 10, online admission includes an offer for unlimited Coca-Cola beverage refills with the purchase of a Season Pass or single-day ticket.

Both parks anticipate higher-than-usual attendance for the holiday period, and visitors are advised to arrive early and check park websites for updated schedules and crowd-management policies.
