Kim Kardashian appears to be embarking on a major renovation of the $60 million mansion she shared with Kanye West.
The 44-year-old reality TV star acquired the spread in the Hidden Hills area of Calabasas with Kanye in 2014, the year they got married in Florence.
They purchased the property for $20 million, and Kanye then spearheaded a remodel that was rumored to have cost a further $20 million.
After Kim filed for divorce in 2021, she managed to keep the house as she and Kanye reportedly agreed on a buyout price.
Now she seems to be adding refurbishments of her own, as a section of the building was seen being reconstructed last week.

Kanye spent five years remodeling the property, enlisting the help of the famed Belgian interior designer and antiquarian Axel Vervoordt.
The couple went viral when they showed off the strikingly minimalistic rooms, done in all white, in a February 2020 spread for Architectural Digest.
Kanye showered praise on Axel, saying: ‘When I saw the kind of work he was doing, I thought, This man could design Batman’s house. I had to work with him.’
The rap icon continued: ‘It was a coup to get Axel to come to Calabasas to redo a McMansion, which is essentially what the house was.’
All the interior walls were coated in slick off-white plaster, which along with the spartan décor created an antiseptic look that was widely mocked online.
‘Kanye and Kim wanted something totally new,’ Axel said while explaining the unconventional design of the house.
‘We didn’t talk about decoration but a kind of philosophy about how we live now and how we will live in the future. We changed the house by purifying it, and we kept pushing to make it purer and purer,’ he added.

Weeks before the filing, a source said: ‘Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home,’ via Page Six.
‘She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They’ve both put a lot of money into renovating it.’
When Kim and Kanye split, he relocated to Wyoming while she remained in the mansion with their four children North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five.
By October 2021, it emerged that Kim had bought Kanye out after amicable negotiations and would be able to keep the house, per TMZ.
