MALIBU — Michael Madsen, best known for his acting roles in “Kill Bill” and “Reservoir Dogs,” was taken into custody over the weekend on suspicion of domestic violence, authorities said Monday.
Deputies responded to the 31600 block of Broad Beach Road on Saturday at around 12:15 a.m. regarding a “family disturbance,” where a woman reported that her husband pushed and locked her out of the house, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station.
The husband, later identified as the 66-year-old Madsen, was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
He was released on $20,000 bail, according to Variety.
“It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for both of them,” a representative for Madsen told Variety.
The veteran actor has appeared in more than 200 films. He is best known for playing the diabolical character of Mr. Blonde in “Reservoir Dogs.” He also played Budd in the two “Kill Bill” movies and acted in “The Hateful Eight.”
