Wild claims are circulating that Katy Perry runs the risk of potentially have to cancel some dates on her upcoming Lifetimes world tour.
The 40-year-old pop star – whose last tour ended in 2018 – recently announced that she will be playing concerts around the world from April to November.
She is scheduled to perform in a staggering 83 cities, beginning in Mexico City and ending in Madrid, with a flurry of dates in the Americas, Canada and Europe.
The news came shortly after Taylor Swift wrapped up her juggernaut Eras Tour, which proved to be an economic powerhouse and made that pop star a billionaire.
However, now it has been alleged that Katy has failed to drum up the enthusiasm that Taylor did, with the result that her ticket sales have allegedly been sluggish.
‘Expectations were high and she is disappointed by the lack of interest in some countries and venues,’ a source told The U.S. Sun.

‘Some people involved thought it would be a massive wave with ticket sales exploding quickly, but sadly she is not Taylor Swift,’ the insider continued.
‘Still many seats and tickets are available in some European venues, such as Prague and Budapest,’ the insider sensationally claimed.
The source said that the supposedly low ticket sales were ‘starting to get very concerning, as we need those big dates to be full.’
Moreover, rumors are flying that 70% of tickets for a Minneapolis show and 60& of tickets for a Raleigh show are still available.
‘We hope no concerts will be cancelled, as it would be a huge blow and disappointment,’ asserted the insider.
It has been claimed Katy is seeking out ‘advice and support’ from longtime on-and-off friend Taylor Swift for her own upcoming Lifelines tour.
The pair are on-again friends after ending their past, years-long feud that was highlighted in Taylor’s song Bad Blood.
Last week Katy was raked across the coals and branded ‘desperate’ by disgusted fans after she enlisted viral singer Rebecca Black and a pair of enormous fake breasts to revive her struggling tour.
In a skit released this week, Katy drops by Rebecca’s dressing room to give her the honor of joining in on her new Lifetimes Tour.

Katy , 40, was raked across the coals and branded ‘desperate’ by disgusted fans after she enlisted viral singer Rebecca Black, 27, and a pair of enormous fake breasts to revive her struggling tour
The 40-year-old California Gurls singer looks flabbergasted by the supersized cleavage, before remembering that she stopped by to ask Rebecca to go on her tour with her.
The video, which one fan decried as pathetic on X (formerly Twitter), arrived following reports that Katy had turned to her nemesis-turned-friend Taylor Swift for advice as she deals with anemic ticket sales for The Lifetimes Tour.
On social media, some fans said that the veteran songstress appeared to be upstaged in the video, and that they would prefer to see the 27-year-old performer on her own.
Katy, who posted the newest video to her X account, captioned it: ‘We’re going on The Lifetimes Tour. It’s gonna be big.’
Rebecca, who became a viral sensation back in 2011 with her surprising hit Friday at age 13, has gone on to have a successful music career.
In 2011, Rebecca appeared in Katy’s music video for Last Friday Night (TGIF) as a homage to her own song Friday.
Fans didn’t know what to make of the duo going on tour together and took to X to discuss their reaction.
‘Imagine telling someone in 2011 Rebecca Black would one day be the main reason to go to a Katy Perry concert’ one wrote.

One fan realized: ‘Oh you’re desperate desperate.’
‘This is weird af,’ declared one commenter.

One person mysteriously said ‘Katy are you upset your bf lost the Super Bowl or no?’
Katy originally asked Rebecca to be an opening act for her Lifetimes Tour on Sunday – seemingly surprising her on stage and pretending to propose to her. Instead of a marriage proposal, Katy asks her to go on tour with her.
Katy shared the moment on Instagram Sunday.
Rebecca released her newest EP Salvation in February 2025, two years after releasing her first studio album Let Her Burn.
The Lifetimes Tour by Katy will kick off April 23, 2025 in Mexico City and run until November 11, 2025 in Madrid, Spain – with 83 concert dates.
Katy’s last tour was Witness, which too place between 2017 until 2018.
Katy has been busy balancing motherhood and her American Idol stint as a judge; she shares daughter Daisy, four, with partner Orlando Bloom.
