WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Vice President Kamala Harris will spend election night at Howard University in Washington, D.C., according to a report from The Hill.
The California native graduated from Howard, a historically black college (HBCU), in 1986 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics.
While she was studying there, she was a debate team member and served as a representative for the College of Arts and Sciences freshman council. She also became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
The university previously told DC News Now that the Harris/Walz campaign had expressed interest in renting university facilities for an election night watch party.
Election Day is set for Nov. 5
