Amazon MGM Studios/Imagine Entertainment’s Luca Guadagnino thriller, After the Hunt, is going limited on Oct. 10 with a nationwide break on Oct. 17.
The film follows a college professor (Julia Roberts) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil (Ayo Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light. Guadagnino regular Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny also star along with Lío Mehiel, Thaddea Graham, Will Price, Christine Dye, and Burgess Byrd. Don’t be shocked if this one makes a premiere during the fall film festival troika. Guadagnino loves to launch at Venice Film Festival, read his latest pics Bones and All and Queer.
On Oct. 17, After the Hunt will face off with Universal/Blumhouse’s The Black Phone 2 and Lionsgate’s Aziz Ansari-directed comedy Good Fortune with Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.
Screenplay is by Nora Garrett. Producers are Guadagnino, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum.
