DALLAS (NewsNation) — A federal judge in Texas has ruled that the Biden administration must stop selling border wall materials that the outgoing president has refused to install.
The Biden administration agreed to stop selling further border wall materials over the next 30 days.
In a Truth Social post, President-elect Trump celebrated the blocked sale, calling the ruling “a major, crucial WIN for America.”
“The Judge has also ordered an investigation into the illegal selling of the materials, which will expose just how corrupt and anti-American Radical Democrats are,” Trump added.

The effort, led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, began amid reports that the Biden administration was selling border wall materials.
“We have successfully blocked the Biden administration from disposing of any further border wall materials before President Trump takes office,” said Paxton, who has said he wants to help the incoming Trump administration with mass deportation efforts.
Materials auctioned cheaply: Texas officials
This battle over the border wall materials has been going on for years.
In 2023, Congress ordered the U.S. Department of Defense to sell off remaining border wall materials. Some were sent to border states and federal agencies, while others were sold to a private auction company GovPlanet.com for pennies on the dollar, according to Texas officials.
This December, Paxton filed a motion to halt further sales.
Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick celebrated the decision on X, calling it “a huge win for Donald Trump and Texas!”
“The border wall that Joe Biden was attempting to auction off for pennies on the dollar in secret has been stopped,” he added.
Meanwhile, Trump is reportedly planning to issue an executive order releasing funds to restart building the border wall, potentially on day one of his presidency.
