Jodie Turner-Smith has finally broken her silence on ex-husband Joshua Jackson‘s new romance with Lupita Nyong’o.
The actress, 37, filed for divorce in October last year, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ after four years of marriage. Amid their divorce, the two stars agreed to join custody of their daughter named Juno Rose Diana Jackson, four.
Sources told DailyMail.com at the time that Joshua had been left ‘heartbroken’ over the split.
But, just weeks later, the Fringe actor, 45, confirmed his romance with Lupita, 40. They were photographed holding hands publicly.
Speaking out on Joshua’s romance with Lupita for the first time, Jodie told The Cut on Friday: ‘Good for them,’ Jodie said. ‘We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent. I’m trying to get us to the Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Chris Martin level.’

‘I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family,’ The Acolyte starlet said, putting their daughter first.
The Anne Boleyn actress went on to explain what co-parenting with Joshua is like and how she’s adapted to life as a single mother.
‘I just have to do everything that I can to set Juno up to win and to peacefully co-parent with someone whom I once loved very, very much,’ she told the outlet.
‘Peace is what’s needed right now. Grace is what’s needed right now. Love, empathy, compassion. I’m trying to be all those things and have faith that when I’m all those things, I will see that reflected back toward me,’ she finished.
Joshua and Jodie were married from 2019 and split indefinitely in 2023, with him moving on with Lupita just weeks after the divorce filing.
Providing rare insight on the demise of hers and Joshua’s relationship, Jodie previously told Sunday Times Style, ‘Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working. And that’s OK.
‘The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children. There are so many different moments in our life where we look at ourselves and say, ‘Who am I and am I being true to that?’

‘If the answer is no, then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us.
‘And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us. I don’t think it’s a failure. We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us,’ she explained.
‘The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something’s not working and to make a move, and I always want to set that kind of example for my daughter,’ she said definitively.
‘The big takeaway is that this is about just as much love and joy as it has always been. This is only about taking a step forward into a better life for everybody involved,’ Jodie said.
