JEREMY Corbyn has been put in his place by his hard-Left party – after it binned his plan to make himself leader.
At Your Party’s shambolic founding conference, members instead backed a committee model, which has been compared to communist-era politburos.
The ex-Labour boss had vowed to run it under a sole leader model but members sided with his rival Zarah Sultana.
The change marks a turbulent opening for the party, which has been hit by rows, threats of legal action and accusations of purges.
Ms Sultana even boycotted the first day of the conference, denouncing the expulsion of Socialist Workers Party-linked activists as a “witch hunt”.
Her absence plunged the Liverpool event into further disarray, with delegates clashing over rules, voting rights and who controlled the microphone.

Yesterday, Ms Sultana joined a pro-Palestine demo outside the venue.
When she finally addressed members, she hailed the committee model as “exciting” and said she had “fought for maximum member democracy since day one”.
The conference also revisited a dispute over the name of the party.
In July, it was temporarily labelled Your Party, with Ms Sultana telling reporters it was not the official name.
At the weekend, delegates were given four choices — Your Party, Our Party, Popular Alliance and For The Many — in the movement’s first formal naming vote.
Announcing the result, Mr Corbyn told delegates: “Your Party is the name of your party.”
The fledgling movement has already seen two members walk away in recent weeks, leaving just four prospective MPs still linked to the project.
