BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now) – One day after the Washington Commanders beat the New Orleans Saints on the road, Jayden Daniels is out serving his community.
On Monday, Daniels partnered up with Raising Canes to give away 100 free bikes to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Arundel & Annapolis counties and the Greater Washington area.
Daniels made the trip to a Raising Canes in Bowie, Maryland where he surprised the kids and got to meet and take pictures with them.
“One kid just asked me, why did we lose to the Ravens,” said Daniels. “I told him I’m sorry I wish we could’ve won the game but it’s great to go out there and interact with the kids.”
Giving back is something that Daniels says, he has always wanted to do when he became a pro.
“Everybody comes from different circumstances growing up so just being able to give back and see the joy on the kids’ faces, that’s all that matters.”
This is Daniels’ second holiday bike giveaway with Raising Cane’s. Last year, Daniels partnered with Cane’s to donate 100 bikes to the Boys and Girls Club and Big Buddy of Baton Rouge, on the heels of Daniels winning a Heisman Trophy Award as a quarterback for LSU.
