Jax Taylor refiled from divorce from his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright on Thursday.
The Valley star, 45, hired the attorney of Kevin Federline, Britney Spears‘ ex-husband, amid their divorce proceedings.
Cartwright, 35, first filed for divorce back in August.
Now, the reality TV personality has countered with his own filing requesting a dissolution of marriage, and according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Taylor listed Mark Vincent Kaplan as his attorney.
This comes just after Cartwright called him out for the errors he made in his divorce filing without assistance from legal advisors.

Last month, he filed last month while representing himself and mistakingly checked a box indicating that he and Cartwright were never legally married.
The Vanderpump Rules alum also gave an inaccurate timeline of their relationship.
Unlike Cartwright, who listed their date of separation as January 24, 2024, a month before they shared the news publicly, Taylor claimed they didn’t officially call it quits until September 26, 2024.
He also seemed to have erroneously checked a box ‘indicating “other” when it came to determining child support for their son Cruz.’
After fans expressed confusion over the mistakes and discrepancies made by Taylor, Cartwright took to social media to address the errors.
‘We are legally married,’ she wrote in a comment under one of E! News’ Instagram posts. ‘I’m guessing paperwork is hard for some people.’
Lance Bass, who officiated the former couple’s nuptials back in 2019, also chimed in to confirm that Cartwright and Taylor’s marriage was legally binding.
‘Pastor Lance signed the papers,’ he wrote.

Taylor’s representative clarified to People that the ‘errors [made by his client] will be amended without delay.’
‘Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz, and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son, which remains their overriding concern,’ his rep added.
‘While Jax made errors in filing out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals, those errors will be amended without delay.’
Taylor’s new attorney representing him in his divorce proceedings previously represented stars cindluing Charlie Sheen and Paula Abdul in addition to Federline during his custody battle with Spears.
Federline was awarded full custody of his and Spears’ two sons — Preston, now 19, and Jayden, now 18 — in 2008.
Cartwright and Taylor are seemingly expected to have a less contentious custody arrangement as they both have expressed their intention to coparent.
Last month, Cartwright said she wants the best for their son and that includes having his father in his life.
‘I’m not ever going to take Cruz away from [Jax],’ she told People. ‘We will always put Cruz first and we are going to work towards a healthy coparenting relationship.’

During an episode of their joint podcast, When Reality Hits, he said he wants to continue being an ‘amazing’ father to their son.
Taylor also said he will ‘always love and care’ for his ex.
‘She’s the mother of my beautiful son,’ he said. ‘All I want for us is to be amicable and even, hopefully, really, really good friends. One day.
He added: ‘I know I’m an amazing father and I know that I will make an excellent ex-husband.’
