Jane Moore‘s first day on I’m A Celebrity got off to a bad start as her first challenge went wrong.
For seven years, Walk The Plank has opened the show with half of camp having to face the terrifying heights of the 314ft Focus building in Surfers Paradise – but this year show bosses have opted for a shakeup, with contestants set to race against each other to make it to camp.
Yet Loose Women star Jane, 62, found herself on the backfoot on Thursday after she was tasked with completing a parachute jump.
The 10 celebrities were split into two groups, with Jane on a team with Tulisa Contostavlos, Dean McCullough, Oti Mabuse and Danny Jones who had to complete their first two challenges for Sunday’s launch show.
The group raced from a million dollar mansion in Queensland to helicopters that flew them 670km North to Byron Bay where they completed a parachute jump.

Unfortunately, Jane’s jump went wrong and she ended up a quarter of a mile down the beach, landing on holiday makers.
When one beachgoer asked if she was ok, the mother-of-three insisted she was unharmed by putting her thumb up.
Weather conditions were not idea for a parachute jump, as the sea breeze was so powerful it blew Jane off course.
While she was unharmed, the journalist looked dejected as she made her way over to her team amid bookies’ claims she’ll be the first campmate to quit the show.
Jane currently has odds of 8/15 to walk, BonusFinder reports, followed by Melvin Odoom at 1/1 and GK Barry at 2/1.
The day started in the million dollar mansion, Diamond Head, when the stars were spotted running from the house across the grounds to helicopters.
Longtime hosts of the ITV flagship show, Ant and Dec, watched on, having just delivered them instructions of the task ahead.
While half the team had to take on a parachute jump, Coleen Rooney headed up the group waiting on the beach and were joined by Melvin Odoom, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry and Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall.

Jane later rushed over to greet fellow campmates GK Barry and Melvin Odoom
Weather conditions proved to be a problem for the stars waiting as production staff sheltered them from the blazing Australian sun with umbrellas.
But the wind on the beach was so rough that the umbrellas were blown the wrong way which amused Coleen who was seen by an onlooker laughing about it with her campmates.
Last week it was revealed show bosses had decided to shake up the format by scrapping the iconic Walk The Plank challenge.
Producers instead planned a brand new entrance for the campmates, promising the task will be ‘equally as terrifying and exhilarating’
A source told MailOnline: ‘The new challenge promises to be one of the most exciting ever as some of the campmates will truly be put to the ultimate test before they enter camp which they won’t be expecting.
‘It won’t be an easy ride into camp for the celebrities this year, bosses are pulling out all the stops to ensure the show has a spectacular launch that viewers won’t want to miss.’
Stripped of luxuries and creature comforts, stars will have face a string of Bushtucker Trials in a bid to win food for the camp, and only one will leave as the King Or Queen of the Jungle.

During the spin-off show the trio will dissect everything that goes on in camp, before speculating about what may be in store, all the while giving their opinions and taking part in fun debates.
