Footage soon went viral with thousands commending Zak Bevis for his generous behaviour.

In the video, a homeless woman can be seen coming up to the van parked on the side of the road in Norwich.

Shivering in the cold, she appears shy and plucks up the courage to politely ask Zak for a jacket potato.

The spud van owner with a heart of gold is seen happily obliging after hearing her request.

Zak is then seen preparing a jacket potato with cheese and curry sauce for the grateful woman.

Moments later, he hands over a steaming jacket potato loaded with toppings, carefully wrapping it to keep the heat in.

He is then seen asking the woman: “Do you need a drink?”

And hands her a can of coke for no charge.

Taken aback by his kindness, the woman cannot hold back her grin and repeatedly says thank you.

Zak replies: “Listen, you’re fine. The people of Norwich are paying for this. Bless your heart.”

The post on Zak’s official Instagram was captioned: “Word is spreading about Norwich.

“This woman heard from others experiencing homelessness that you can get a free meal here.

“She was nervous to ask but left with a smile, a hot meal, and a drink.”

It is not the first time Zak has shown his unwavering generosity to those in need.

Zaketpotatos helps give away food to the homeless, vulnerable and elderly around Norwich.

The incredible act of generosity comes during the winter months when temperatures have dropped and wet and windy conditions batter the UK.

Thousands of social media users took to the comments to share their opinions after the heartwarming video.

And many praised Zak for his kind-hearted nature.

One wrote: “She asked, she didn’t expect. Beautiful that. Well done mate.”

Another said: “The dignity he gave her too. Love this.”

A third commented: “Bless you. You can see she’s so worried about taking up space.

“We need so much more kindness, love and understanding in the world.”

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: “You legend. Thank you for being a good human.”

Another said: “Every one of these customers says please and thank you, they may be struggling at the bottom of the ladder but their manners are better than many of those higher up it.

“Thank you for helping them without judgement.”

It comes as Queen Camilla served jacket potatoes to stars at an event celebrating feeding the elderly.

She worked with TikTok star Spudman, real name Ben Newman, who makes videos from his jacket potato food truck.

Camilla helped load spuds with fillings and served presenter Gaby Roslin and Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson.
