(NEXSTAR) – A number of Zoom users reported issues accessing virtual meetings Wednesday, according to outage site Down Detector.
As of 11:55 a.m. PDT Zoom’s official website showed a “bad gateway” error for some users.
A spike in reported issues started just after 11:25 a.m. PDT, according to Down Detector, and surpassed 44,000 as of a half hour later.
Zoom wrote on its service page at 12:17 PDT: “We are investigating domain name resolution issues on the zoom.us domain that is affecting multiple services. Regular updates will be provided.”
The popular online music and podcast platform Spotify had a similar spike Wednesday, with tens of thousands of users users reporting problems.
“We are aware of the outage and working to resolve it as soon as possible,” Spotify said, denying that there was a security hack.
Spotify announced the issue had been solved an hour later.
