A 19-year-old Long Beach man is dead after he was shot Sunday evening.
The shooting was reported at about 7:45 p.m., and when Long Beach Police Department officers arrived to the scene in the 6200 block of Long Beach Boulevard, they found that Dante Williams had been shot in the upper body, police said in a news release.
Williams was provided medical aid, first by police and then by the Long Beach Fire Department, but he ultimately succumbed to his wound at a local hospital.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and no motive or potential suspects have been provided by police.
