Russell Crowe has placed his spectacular harbourside apartment in Sydney on the market.
The 60-year-old Hollywood actor purchased the lavish property for $14.35 million in 2003 and considered listing it for $25million eight years ago.
Sources indicate that the Gladiator star has listed the apartment off-market with a price guide ranging from $42million to $50million.
On Saturday, realstate.com.au shared an insight into what the luxurious property is really like.
Protected by a security team, the home features a private lift which takes visitors up to the main floor.
Renaissance and Roman art flanks the lobby, and the actor prefers to greet guests from his well appointed study.

It features dark curtains and a heavy timber desk that gives it an ‘Oval Office’ feel.
The room offers stunning water views, and sits above the waterline in a way that gives it an air of floating upon the ocean, the report claims.
The publication said there is, ‘no other home like it, probably anywhere else in the world’.
Situated on the Finger Wharf in the upscale Woolloomooloo area, just 2km from Sydney’s CBD, Crowe’s apartment occupies an entire floor of an exclusive building.
According to reports from Domain, the actor has associates managing offers for the expansive waterfront home.
One source revealed that Crowe’s apartment has been listed ‘off-market’ through McGrath real estate, although John McGrath, an old friend of the actor, has not confirmed this to the publication.
After asking for confirmation that Crowe’s luxury apartment was on the market, Grant Vandenberg, the star’s media manager, told Domain, ‘People are always making inquiries about it.’
Crowe may have been persuaded to part with his prized flat since the sale of a penthouse and sub-penthouse at the exclusive One Sydney Harbour block fetched an eye-watering $140million in 2019.

In 2017, he rejected a $25 million offer for his beloved Finger Wharf residence.
This impressive property spans 1,000sqm and was initially designed to accommodate four separate private apartments.
Russell’s pad features 11 bedrooms, having combined four properties in the complex, and even has its own 35-metre marina berth.
Hoping to nearly double his initial investment, Crowe listed the apartment for up to $30 million. However, when he did not receive this amount, he decided to take it off the market.
According to Domain, the flat’s original owners were Nutrimetics founder Imelda Roche and her late husband, Bill Roche, who purchased it off the plan in 1998 for $9.8 million.
Additionally, there were reports that Crowe received a $13 million offer in 2018 for two titles within the property.
The offer was made by Sam Barnett, the son of former Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett.
However, Crowe’s management announced that there was no offer because the flat was not for sale at that time.
In 2021, Crowe made headlines when the Sydney Morning Herald reported that the notoriously private star had installed a Scandinavian barrel sauna on the balcony of his Finger Wharf apartment.
At that time, this type of sauna was being sold for over $10,000.
Crowe boasts quite the property portfolio, including a sprawling 400 hectare Nana Glen rural property near Coffs Harbour on the NSW north coast.
The property, which has been hit by bush fires before, also features it’s own chapel where he married ex-wife Danielle Spencer in 2003.
Crowe is now in a relationship with Britney Theriot, who he’s been dating since 2020.
