HPD said the man became irate after he was denied service at the restaurant and went to grab a gun from his car before opening fire towards the restaurant.

HOUSTON — Police are searching for a man who they say shot at a restaurant, hitting a woman, after he was denied service.

This happened Saturday night at a restaurant off the North Freeway at E Tidwell Road around 9 p.m.

HPD said the man became irate after he was denied service at the restaurant and went to grab a gun from his car before opening fire towards the restaurant.

A woman in a different car in the parking lot was hit by the gunfire and taken to a hospital. She is expected to be OK. No one else was hurt.

By the time officers got to the scene, police said the gunman had already left.

If you have any information about what happened, you’re asked to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers.
