THE husband of murdered Labour MP Jo Cox is said to be “over the moon” after discovering his new wife is pregnant.
Brendan Cox, 44, married domestic violence campaigner Anna Ryder, 37, last summer.
He had asked his two children with Jo — Cuillin, 13, and Lejla, 11 — for their blessing to do so.
A source said yesterday: “Brendan is absolutely delighted and can’t wait to be a dad again.
“His world was torn apart when Jo died and he never thought he’d find happiness again, but feels incredibly lucky to have met Anna.
“They have the support of his kids and can’t wait to grow as a family.”
Jo — MP for Batley and Spen in West Yorkshire — was shot and stabbed at a constituency surgery in June 2016.
A far-right extremist was handed a whole-life jail sentence for her murder.
Brendan later became involved in campaigning and is thought to have met Anna, director of the Killed Women group, three years ago.
He said that when he asked his kids about proposing to her, they told him: “You’re never going to do any better than Anna.
