Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision where a pedestrian was killed on Monday night.
A man was crossing Cedar Lane near Holland Court at around 5:15 p.m. when a 2013 Hyundai Sonata struck him, according to the Howard County Police Department. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital where he died.
HCPD said the male driver stayed at the scene and was not hurt.
Cedar Lane at Holland Court was closed for about two hours so HCPD crews investigated. The road has been re-opened.
